Facebook lite is the best application for Android phones designed for low-speed devices and internet connections. When it was launched, the lite version of the Facebook application was only available outside of the United States of America. However, now it is available in the US as well.
Mostly on Samsung, Huawei, and other popular and powerful devices, the averages normal Facebook app weight is more than 80MB. But the lite version is just 1 up to 2 MB app weight which takes less space and uses low hardware in smartphones.
The normal Facebook application uses much more CPU, GPU and other hardware in Android phones. However, the lite version uses less up to 97% low hardware. The application can work and run smoothly on older devices as well. It consumes fewer internet data and can load on 2G, unstable and 3G as well as a 4G network if available.

All function looks great but only smaller screen devices. On the bigger screen devices, all the content and features look perfectly good but a little oversized. The UI elements are great and easy to use and understanding.
Should You Download, Install and Use the Facebook Lite Version?
Well, it is totally up to you and daily Facebook usage and especially the location in which you are using Facebook. I mean the location where the internet connection depends, either slow and faster. However, the recommendation is to download Facebook lite and install. You may need it anywhere (where internet connection is very slow 2G or 3G) anytime.
The only thing which is a little ugly is the user interface (an oversized UI with bigger screens devices only). Other than that there is nothing bad about the application. But I will strongly recommend that if you are living in a location where the internet connection is superb and your devices full of rich hardware. Then definitely only the use the regular FB application.
